Resumen
Los antiplaquetarios son de los fármacos más utilizados para reducir el riesgo de eventos cardiovasculares en pacientes con isquemia cerebral transitoria e infarto cerebral. En la etapa de prevención primara su uso es limitado, y esto dependerá del riesgo cardiovascular medido por escalas como la escala de riesgo de Framingam. En prevención secundaria ya han demostrado su utilidad como monoterapia (aspirina o clopidogrel) o terapia dual en especial en la etapa aguda del infarto cerebral menor (aspirina/clopidogrel por 21 días). Otras líneas de investigación incluyen el uso combinado de aspirina con anticoagulantes directos o las terapias triples. En el presente artículo de revisión mostramos la evidencia publicada sorbre el beneficio de los antiplaquetarios en la prevención del infarto cerebral.
